Parrot Breeder
is someone who:

1. Has spotless aviaries
2. Really cares about each chick that hatches
3. Keeps impeccable records
4. Tests all breeding birds for diseases like PBFD, Polyoma,and chlamydia.
5. Quarantines all new stock and has full panel testing done prior to introducing
them to his breeding program
6. Ensures that chicks are weighed regularly, and develop as the species should
7. Ensures that chicks are bountifully weaned and properly socialised
8. Weans his babies to pellets and fresh food
9. Has a veterinary practitioner whose judgement he totally trusts
10. Provides prospective owners of his chicks with sufficient literature to educate
them in the species
11. Vets (checks) future owners to see that chicks go only to homes where they
will be well cared for.
12. NEVER NEVER sells an unweaned baby
